Norma D. Deane's Obituary
Norma D. Deane, 82, of Ashford, CT, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021. She was born in New Britain, CT, daughter of the late Salvatore and Rose Dizzia. Norma worked as a business clerk for many years for the State of Connecticut. She enjoyed cooking, going on casino trips, UConn Women’s Basketball, and her beloved cat Ben. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the time she was able to spend with them. Norma is survived by her three daughters, Dianna Fontaine of Ashford, CT, Roseanne Deane and her husband John Schultz of Stafford Springs, CT, and JoAnne Klomp and her husband Jan of Ivoryton, CT; six grandchildren, Corissa Salgado and her husband Leo, Evan Deane, Courtney Deane, Kristin Fontaine, Nicholas Klomp, and Elizabeth Klomp; six great grandchildren; her sister, Lillian Dizzia; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, John R. Deane, Jr.; and two sisters, Helen Cardella and Eva Colello. Funeral services with burial in St. Philip Cemetery, Ashford, CT, will be held privately.
