Nyles F. "Bill" Irving's Obituary
Nyles F. “Bill” Irving, 84, of Glastonbury, CT, husband of the late Sandra (Kusiak) Irving, passed away on April 28, 2022. He was born in Providence, RI, son of the late Colin and Avis (Fowler) Irving. Bill served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner/operator of Bill Irving Trucking for many years. Bill had a love for motorcycles, boats, and traveling, and a passion for classic cars. He enjoyed fixing, restoring, and polishing his cars, and participating in many car shows over the years. He was a friend of Bill W. and always talked about how great life in recovery was and the many friendships he had made. He had many life-long and long-time friends that he cared deeply about. Bill also enjoyed Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada, his visits with Aunt Mildred, and long walks with his dogs, Ginger and Holly. Bill is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Irving and her partner Ronald Houle; two granddaughters, Morgan Canestrari and Sawyer Houle; sister, Joyce Gottier and her husband Bob; several nieces and nephews; and his step daughter, Sue Hartford and her husband Dave. He was predeceased by his son, William Irving; and brother, Lee Irving. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 10 A.M. – 12 P.M., with a prayer service and Military Honors to take place at 12 P.M., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in Green Cemetery, Glastonbury, CT, will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the William Irving Fund, Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Stafford, P.O.
