Patricia Dunay's Obituary
Patricia (Hanley) Dunay, 84, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 27, 1928 in Stafford Springs, CT where she lived all her life and raised her family, to the late William and Mary (Cunningham) Hanley. Pat retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a rural route carrier after 20 years. She was a member of St. Edward Parish and the Stafford Senior Center. Her hobbies included traveling, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading, and above all, spending time with her family. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Michael E. Dunay, Sr.; seven children, Barbara Consolini and her husband Jerry of West Springfield, MA, Michael E. Dunay, Jr., Patricia Ducharme and her husband William, and Margaret DeCicco and her husband Peter all of Stafford Springs, CT, Ann Satkowski and her husband David of Deerfield, MA, Judith Zelz and her husband John of Crystal Lake, IL, and Timothy Dunay and his wife Yvonna of Midland, TX; 18 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings William Hanley, Mary Galotto, and Barbara Aubochon. Her funeral will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery. Calling hours are on Thursday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
