Patricia A. Post's Obituary
Patricia A. Post, 80, of Stafford, CT, wife of the late Rev. Kenneth J. Post, Sr., passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018, after a long illness. She was born in Queens, NY, daughter of the late Rev. Clifford and Audrey Ward. Pat was a stay-at-home mom, raising her four children as well as numerous animals. When her husband died 26 years ago, she reinvented herself, learning how to drive, going to work, and purchasing her first home. Pat worked as a librarian at Staffordville School for many years and previous students, when she would see them around town, would give her credit for their love of reading. She was known for her cooking and baking, especially her lemon loafs, which she always shared. She was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers, UConn Women’s Basketball, and the Boston Red Sox. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the time she was able to spend with them. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Pat is survived by her four children, Kenneth (Kimberly), Kevin (Cindy), Karen (George) and Keith; six grandchildren, Michael (Amanda), Taylor (Joshua), Makenzie (Joel), Michelle (Tim), Melissa (Dan), and Jarrett; six great grandchildren, Kiara, Victoria, Joseph, Robbie, Austin, Anastasia, and twins on the way. She also leaves behind four siblings, Corinne, Richard (Tamie), Jonathan (Sharon) and Judith (Kathy); sister-in-law, Loretta; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 9:30 - 11:00 A.M., with a funeral service to take place at 11:00 A.M., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Stafford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rev. Kenneth J. Post, Sr. Fund, Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Stafford, c/o Rose Roszczewski, P.O. Box 25, Stafford Springs, CT 06076, or to the Stafford Garden Club, P.O. Box 1124, Staffordville, CT 06077.
