Patricia Ann (Blair) Skinner, 90, has passed forward to her eternal home in heaven on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, with family surrounding her with warmth, love and devotion at her home on Crystal Lake. She was married to the love of her life, William H. Skinner, who passed in 2016. They were married for 66 years. She was born in 1932 in Rockville, CT, the daughter of the late Walter and Mabel (DeCarli) Blair. Patricia is preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Blair and Robert Blair; grandson, Warren Skinner; sisters-in-law, Crystal Montgomery and Caroline Howe; and brother-in-law, Collins Skinner. She is survived by her children and spouses, William H. Skinner, II and Candy Bell, Patricia A. Gifford and Jack Gifford, and Everett W. Skinner, III and Sherry (Luginbuhl) Skinner; grandchildren and great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. First and foremost, she was the first woman milk tester in the State of Connecticut, and she loved the farm life. Patricia attended the University of Connecticut receiving a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, following on to the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she received her Master’s degree, Cum Laude, in marketing health care. She worked for National League for Nursing in New York City, traveling nationwide as a consultant in Public Health Nursing, speaking to educate the community. She worked as an administrator for many years at local health care agencies. She will be missed. Her love and light will live in all of us whose lives she touched. She left us four things to remember: 1. Never, never give up, be strong and carry on 2. Cherish family and friends 3. Have faith in the Lord and he will provide 4. Lend a helping hand to those in need whenever you can.
