Patricia A. Tiziani's Obituary
Patricia A. (Argenta) Tiziani, 90, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024 at Orchard Grove Nursing Facility in Uncasville, CT. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late William and Marian (Murphy) Argenta. She lived and worked in town holding various positions at the National, the Stafford Reminder, and lastly retiring from the loan department of Stafford Savings Bank after 12 years of service. Pat was a lifelong member of St. Edward Church. In retirement she volunteered for nearly 15 years at Johnson Memorial Hospital logging over 4,000 hours of service and receiving the 2017 President’s Volunteer Service Award. She and her father were survivors of the Hartford circus fire of 1944 and later in life she attended both the groundbreaking and opening ceremonies for the Hartford Circus Fire Memorial. An avid sports fan and a former basketball player and drum major, she enjoyed attending her grandsons’ sporting events and NASCAR races and followed both men’s and women’s UConn basketball teams. She also had a fondness for reading, knitting, and traveling. Pat was well known throughout the local community and will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. Pat is survived by her son, Glen Tiziani and his wife Carol of Colchester, CT, and her grandsons, Matthew Tiziani of Fort Worth, TX, and Nicholas Tiziani of Willimantic, CT, as well as extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Leroy Tiziani in 2008, and her eldest son, Lee Tiziani of CT and VT in 2012. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 10:30 - 11:30 AM, with a funeral service beginning at 11:30 AM, at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
