Patsy L. Cromwell's Obituary
Patsy L. Cromwell, 77, of Stafford, CT, wife of the late Galen M. Cromwell, passed away on January 1, 2026 in the comfort of her home. She was born in Skowhegan, ME, daughter of the late Kenneth and Faye (O’Donal) Towle. In 1975, Patsy and the family moved to Vernon, CT. Then, a year later, moved to Stafford, CT and have lived there for 50 years. Patsy worked at Gasland as a manager, Cumberland Farms (the first one to be in Stafford), Fepco print shop, where she managed the shipping department for many years, then, eventually, she made her way to Stafford High School as a custodian until her retirement. During her retirement, she would work at Dunkin Donuts for free, cleaning tables while enjoying her iced coffee and bagel twist and greeting all the customers that would come in and making new friends. Also, during her retirement, she would help bring her grandsons to school, events, or activities that they would have. At nighttime, she would enjoy her time by grabbing a meal and putting on her TV and watching her favorite shows. She also enjoyed talking to friends and family in Maine, always changing back to her Maine accent on the phone while they spoke. In 2025, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was able to have an operation to remove the cancer, but unfortunately, before they could finish treatments, the cancer had spread to her lungs and was stage 4. Patsy is survived by her son, Kevin Cromwell and his wife Kimngan of Stafford, CT; grandsons, Tyler and Sam Cromwell; and siblings: Brenda Blaisdell and her husband Melvin, Linda Corson and her husband Gary, Susan Forbus and her husband Ronald, Michael Towle and his wife Kathy, and Leesa Baker and her husband Roger; several aunts; an uncle; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Toby Cromwell; and her dog, Shadow. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 PM, with a memorial service to take place at 2:00 PM, at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately at a later date at the State of Connecticut Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, CT.
