Paul M. Souza's Obituary
Paul M. Souza, 64, of Vernon, CT passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Hartford Hospital with his beloved wife at his side. He was born in Hartford, son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Kafka) Souza, and he grew up in Coventry, CT. He attended Southern Connecticut State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in communication. Paul also attended Pomfret School in Pomfret, CT where he was a valued soccer player. He retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Public Works. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Marlaine (Gufert) Souza; daughter, Maria Souza; stepson, Phillip Mele and his wife Megan; grandson, Bohdi Bassett; brothers, Bruce Souza and his wife Sylvia, Mark Souza, Jim Souza and Michael Souza; and several cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
