Peggy Whalen's Obituary
Peggy Hine Whalen, 54, passed away February 23, 2010, in Walterboro, SC, after a difficult struggle with cancer. Peggy was born in Stafford, daughter of the late
John F. Hine and Regina (Bessette) Hine. She grew up and was educated in Stafford, moving to SC as an adult. She is survived by her husband, Philip Whalen of SC, her son, Christopher Allen Hine of VA, her sisters, Nancy Granberg of NC, Laurie Usher of Stafford Springs, Cindy Cowles of Willington, CT, Rosalyn Hine of Briston, CT, her brothers, Dennis Hine of FL, George Hine of VA, and John Hine Of Coventry, CT as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Freddie Hine. A celebration of Peggy's life will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 2 P.M., at the American Legion Hall, Monson Rd., Stafford Springs, CT. It will be an informal gathering of family and friends to celebrate Peggy's life, share stories and enjoy good food and good company. Please join us.
