Peter J. Abromaitis' Obituary
Peter J. Abromaitis, 78, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his
home on Friday, January 20, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Waterbury,
CT, son of the late James C. and Anne (Uskuraitis) Abromaitis. Peter proudly served in the
United States Air Force, and graduated from UConn. He retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft as a technical writer. Peter was a true family man whose greatest passion was his children. His hobbies included golfing, cooking, reading, going to the movies, his yearly trips through New England and the South and music. He loved his tractor and mowing his lawn at top speed. He was an avid fan of UConn sports and went to all the UConn home football and basketball games since he was a student at UConn. He also played on the UConn soccer team. Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Marty (Sepe) Abromaitis, and his three children, Andi Cork of New York, Mark Abromaitis of Stafford Springs, CT, and Jen Abromaitis of Martha’s Vineyard, MA. He was predeceased by his son, Jefferson Abromaitis. Peter loved his son-in-law, Peter Cork, daughter-in-law, Annett Hasart, and his four grandsons, Jack, Samuel, and Finn Cork, and Oscar Hasart Abromaitis. He is also survived by three siblings, Joseph Abromaitis and his wife Betsy, Diane Whitehouse and her husband Wayne, and Sally Ashak-Exe and her husband Jack, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 10 – 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Edward
