Peter D. McGuire's Obituary
Peter D. McGuire, 63, of Mansfield, CT, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Stafford, CT, son of Thomas and Ingrid (Jakobsen) McGuire. Peter retired from the Connecticut Department of Transportation as a highway maintainer, and is currently the owner of A.M.L. Home Maintenance. He had a love of fishing, and was very proud of being a Papa/Grandpa. Aside from his parents, Peter is survived by his wife, Patricia Taylor; his five children, Peter McGuire, Jr., Laura Field and her husband Justin, Julie Barclay and her husband Jeramiah, Sr., Stephanie Ruest and her husband Jeffrey, and Heather Hawkins; many grandchildren; one great grandson; five siblings, Thomas McGuire, Jr. and his wife Vanessa, Nancy Hill and her husband Jack, David McGuire and his wife Doreen, Robert McGuire and his companion Karen, and Karen Bradway and her husband Donald; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 1 – 3 P.M., followed by a memorial service at 3 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield, CT, will be private.
