To the entire O'Neil family - I know I speak for the Windham Concert Band and the Babcock Band in relaying our deepest sympathies. Pete was a dedicated musician and a good friend to me personally. He was a great conversationalist and was always ready with a good quip. I covered for Pete a few times this past year on tenor sax with the Babcock Band while he was involved with treatments. He will definitely be missed, especially this summer during concert season. A tragic loss - he had so much more life to live and music to play!! Pete and your family will be in my prayers. Sincerely, Gary Neff
I Golfed with Pete quite a few times over the years he was a genuinely nice guy and a pleasure to be around ..May God accept him with open arms...hit em straight up there

I lit a candle this morning in our Church of Holy Trinity in memory of my friend Peter. Peter would come here periodically with his family and his canine friend JoJo. I will miss his gentle smile and mild manner. Peter is now experiencing the fullness of life and peace promised to all who believe in our God. Rest in Peace my friend until I see you again.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Peter O'Neil. May you find strength in each other and peace in your memories with Peter.
I graduated from Holy Cross with Pete. We played in concert band, jazz band and also in the pit band for shows at Sacred Heart.
Pete was a great, great guy. We lost touch a few years after high school. We reconnected on Facebook a few years back. We eventually met up for lunch in the fall of 2021. This picture is from that day. Our other band brother Art Mistura joined us. He’s in the blue jacket.
We spent a great afternoon catching up. Pete told us of his illness and was very upfront about it. He didn’t seem afraid of what he was facing.
He was incredibly brave. I kept in touch and we had a few messages back and forth in October. Until we meet again Pete.
We are so sorry for your loss.
