Peter L. Plourde's Obituary
Peter L. Plourde, 82, of Ashford, CT, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. He was born in St. Francis, ME, son of the late Alfred and Bertile (LaPointe) Plourde. Peter retired from Brand-Rex as a machine operator after over 30 years of employment. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working outdoors. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Elizabeth “Betty” (Tremko) Plourde; daughter, Teresa Semerzakis and her husband John; four grandsons, Niko Semerzakis, Peter Semerzakis and his fiancé Tiffany, Devin Plourde, and Steven Plourde Haggett; two great grandchildren, Elena and Johnny Semerzakis; four siblings, Joseph “Al” Plourde and his wife Sandra, Jack Plourde, Rance Plourde, and Pauline Gagnon and her husband Bob; sister-in-law, Linda Plourde; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two children, Wesley Plourde and Lynette Plourde; and five siblings, Mary, Rueben, David, Joan, and Paul Plourde. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Rd., Ashford, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
