Peter G. Prudden's Obituary
Peter G. Prudden, 77, of Stafford Springs, CT passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2026. He was born in New Britain, CT, son of the late Peter D. and Betsy (Pritchard) Prudden. He spent his youth in Harwinton, CT, moving to West Stafford after his marriage to the love of his life, Kathlen (Molloy), who survived him after 44 years of marriage. Together they built their log home and barn, and raised German Shepherds. His pride and joy was his faithful and loyal Shepherd, VA Lingo, who was always with him. He was a proud and longtime member of the West Stafford Fire Department, where he achieved the rank of Captain. He worked 29 years for Lego as a Senior Project Technician, and 5 years at STR. Peter had a great love of the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and boating.
He leaves his loving wife, Kathleen (Molloy) Prudden; sister, Marcia Lewis; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Andrew Molloy and his wife Hollie, Neil Molloy and his wife Bonnie, and Martha Spewock and her husband Charles; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank HHC Hospice Homecare and the West Stafford Fire Department for all their support and assistance. Per his wishes, there will be no funeral services. Memorial donations in his name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to any animal rescue.
