Peter G. Safner's Obituary
Peter G. Safner, 69, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born in Stafford, son of the late Florian and Magdalen (Weber) Safner. Peter was a fun loving guy, and he worked as an electrician at UCONN Storrs for many years. He was Vice President of the Resident Council at Woodlake at Tolland, a former member of the Stafford Fire Department No. 1, and he had participated in the CERT program for many years. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jacqueline (Finch) Safner; two children, Heather Safner and Sean Safner; the love of his life, his granddaughter, Angela Safner; three siblings, Vincent Safner and his wife Trish, Monica Collette and her husband Bill, and Florian Safner and his husband Dana; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11 AM at Staffordville Cemetery, East St., Stafford Springs, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stafford Fire Department No. 1, P.O. Box 147, Staffordville, CT 06077.
