She leaves behind her four beloved daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" McCord-Duncan and her husband Bob of Greeneville, TN, Ruth Wilson and her husband Derek of Willimantic, CT, Claudia Steele and her husband Richard of Vernon, CT, and Lori Dunnebier of Somers, CT; seven grandchildren, Jennifer McCord and her husband Matthew Barrett, Evan McCord, Daniel Wilson and his wife Melissa, Kate Linderson and her husband Ryan, Beckie Delaney and her husband Jeff, Jason Steele and his wife Nicole, Adam Steele and his wife Paula, Walter Duncan and his wife Becky, and Heather Crysler and her husband Brad; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Priscilla was also "mom" to Barbara Mason and Tommy Marshall. Priscilla loved her family with her whole heart and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her. There are no words to express the gratitude and love her family has for Ekow Acquah, Priscilla's caregiver for the last few years. Priscilla was raised in Somers, CT. She graduated from Rockville High School. Before Donald and Priscilla moved to Ashford to raise their family, they owned and operated DONCO Orchards in Somers. They returned to Somers in 1978. Priscilla was passionate about good stewardship of the land. She was a life-long caregiver to many family members and others in the community who were in need. She loved music and played the violin with the Springfield Symphony as a young adult and played in community orchestras and performed for civic organizations and churches throughout her life. Priscilla was extremely active in the communities in which she lived. She was a driving force in the 4-H program in Ashford, instrumental in the Cooperative Extension Service and the National Association for Family and Community Education, and fiercely advocated for wise land use in Somers. She found ways to minister to others in everything she did. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11 A.M. at the Ellington Congregational Church, 72 Main St., Ellington, CT. Burial will follow in Somers New West Cemetery, Somers, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
