Ray Barton's Obituary
Ray E. Barton, 79, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Penobscot, ME, son of the late Harold and Viva (Wardwell) Barton. Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean Conflict, and retired from Polymer Films as a machinist. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Shirley E. Barton of Stafford Springs, CT; five children, Bruce Barton and his partner Robert Hitt of Rumford, RI, Duane Barton and his wife Marcy of Franklin, MA, Kim Regan and her husband Peter of Berlin, CT, Karene Bolduc and her husband Daniel of Willington, CT, and Tracy Cycenas and her husband John of Ellington, CT; nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Terrance, Patrick, April, Zachari, Noah, Aubrey, Arianne, and Niall; three sisters, Erma Folland and her husband William of Vernon, CT, Pat Barton of Maine, and Jessie Leonard and her husband Paul of Maine; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Darryl Barton. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 from 5-7 P.M. with a funeral service at 7 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
