Raymond Panciera's Obituary
Raymond J. Panciera, 83, of West Stafford Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at his home. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late George and Catherine (DaDalt) Panciera. Ray was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Torpedoman 2nd Class. He retired as an electrician and honorary member of IBEW Local #35 of Hartford. Ray was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the Italian Benefit Society, and was part of the Staff Tones Barbershop Quartet. He was also a past Commissioner of the Stafford Recreation Department, member of the Stafford Olympics football team, and played shortstop for the U.S. Navy Pointers baseball team. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Olga (Molitoris) Panciera of Stafford Springs, CT; three children, Jane P. Dunstan of Newcastle, ME, Robert G. Panciera of Willimantic, CT, and Gail M. Panciera of Somers, CT; a grandson, Keith Dunstan and his wife Kate; two great grandchildren, Kyle and Makenna; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, John Panciera; and two sisters, Esther Panciera and Vilma Gregori. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Church Service at 10 A.M. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, West Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Monday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
