Raymond E. Stoll's Obituary
Ray Stoll passed away in the Central Connecticut Hospital on November 4, 2017 due to complications of diabetes. He is survived by his wife, Galyna; his four kids, Oksana, Lisa, Scott and Laura; and a grandson, Nicholas. He is preceded in death by his first wife Helen Stoll of Lebanon, KY. Ray was born on July 28, 1945 in Louisville, KY to his parents Raymond and Desmond Stoll. He loved playing basketball, fishing and playing the trumpet. Working three jobs, he put himself through high school at St. X in Louisville. He went on to earn a bachelor and master’s degree, and finally completed a PhD in toxicology at Purdue University in 1974. He worked in several pharmaceutical companies eventually becoming Director of Toxicology at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. During his employment he was responsible for more than 200 INDs and 20 successful NDs. In addition to his illustrious career, Ray raised three wonderful kids with his fantastic wife Helen. After Helen passed in 2004. he married Galyna Stoll in 2005. Her daughter Oksana and son Nicholas were welcome additions to the Stoll clan. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was truly a great individual who went to bat for the underdog in numerous instances. He has taught us all many lessons, advised so many of us and simply was the best dad anyone could ask for. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with a memorial service to begin at 12:30 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
