Rene Bruce's Obituary
Rene Bruce, 48, of Ashford, CT, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of Eileen (Ward) Pratt and the late Robert J. Pratt. Rene retired as a secretary from the State of Connecticut, and greatly enjoyed karate. Besides her mother, Rene is survived by her three loving children, Jessica, Ian and Rian Bruce; seven siblings, Noreen Passardi and her husband Fred, Katherine Pratt, Karen Barrett and her husband Gary, Thomas Pratt, Mary Jane Minor and her husband Matt, Robert J. Pratt, Jr., and Michael Pratt; her former husband, Harold Bruce; close friends, Tom Lawson and Helene Shapiro; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, James Pratt. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 9-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. The family would like to thank VNA East and Hartford Hospital for the care and support they gave to Rene throughout her illness.
