Richard Carr's Obituary
Richard L. Carr, 81, resident of Stafford Springs, CT since 1955, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2008 at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT. He was born in Houlton, ME, son of the late Edison and Marjorie (Harris) Carr. Richard retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft as a machinist. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling, camping, and working outdoors. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lorraine N. (McQuarrie) Carr of Stafford Springs, CT; his four children, Sandra Cowles and her husband Randy of New Hampshire, Larry Carr and his wife Patricia of Stafford Springs, CT, Brenda Heidzig and her husband Steven of Arizona, and Richard Carr of Monson, MA; four grandchildren, Michael and Angela Cowles; and Stevie and Weston Heidzig; a great grandson, Benjamin Cowles; two sisters, Helena Tompkins of Stafford Springs, CT; and Catherine Putnam of Maine; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers. His funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. A calling hour will be held on Monday from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
