Richard Fontanella's Obituary
Richard L. Fontanella, 62, of Monson, MA, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at his home. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of Genevieve (Theberge) Fontanella and the late Hugo Fontanella. Richard was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era, and worked for Connecticut Industrial Builders as a finish carpenter. He was a member of St. Edward Parish, a fishing enthusiast, and loved to ride his motorcycle. Richard is survived by his mother, Genevieve Fontanella; a brother, Dennis Fontanella; three sisters, Nancy Emhoff and her husband James, Joan Comarella, and Doreen Barton and her husband Edwin; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 9-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
