Richard Griffin's Obituary
Richard J. Griffin, 74, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Hartford, CT, but spent most of his life in Stafford Springs, CT. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired as an assembler from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft after 25 years of employment. He is survived by his wife, Yon Griffin; his beloved cockatiel of 26 years, “Pretty Boy”; several brothers and sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A calling hour will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 4-5 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 5 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Evergreen Health Care Center for their kindness and compassion shown toward Richard during his stay.
