Richard Jenkins' Obituary
Richard R. Jenkins III, 67, of Willington, CT, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Enfield, CT, son of the late Richard R., Jr. and Mary (Talnak) Jenkins. Richard served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, and worked throughout his life as a truck driver. He was an avid sportsman, and member of the Stafford Fish and Game Club and Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Darlene (Mandak) Jenkins; four children, Richard R. Jenkins IV and his fiancé Deborah Carlone, Michael Jenkins, Amy Poissant and her husband Kevin, and Joseph Jenkins; 10 grandchildren; three brothers and their wives, James and Ruth Jenkins, Alan and Gale Jenkins, and Charles and Shirley Jenkins; his mother-in-law, Anne Mandak; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lenny and Donna Mandak; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his cats, Bratski and Kit. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 10 A.M. – 12 Noon with a funeral service to take place at 12 Noon at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
