Richard J. Keating's Obituary
Richard Joseph Keating, Jr., of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away suddenly after a short illness. He was 56 years old. He was a devout member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Willimantic, CT. Richard's family would like to express our gratitude to Father Marc Vranes, as well as Richard's closest friends, Bruce and Nick of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church. Richard had a unique way of looking at the world. He loved geography and history. He looked forward to traveling to new places whenever he could. One of his favorite excursions was traveling along the coast of Maine in search of the best lobster. At family gatherings, Richard would chat with his sisters about traditional family recipes and international cuisine and would entertain everyone by remembering and reciting lines from old TV sitcoms. Even though he was allergic, Richard loved cats and would occasionally find a stray to care for. Patches was his favorite. Richard will be greatly missed by his family. Richard was the youngest son of Richard J. and Veronica L. (Boiardi), and was raised in Billerica, MA. He leaves his sister Leah and her husband Larry Marquis of Merrimack, NH, brother John and his wife Celeste of Carlisle, MA, and sister Rachel and her husband Brian Tarr of Atkinson, NH. Also, his nephew Robert Biagioni and his wife Kiara, along with their children, Miles and Avery, and niece Stephanie and her husband Daniel Barber, along with their son Jack. A celebration of Richard’s life will be scheduled by his family at a later date. To leave a condolence online for the family, please visit: www.introvignefuneralhome.com
