Richard L. Palacko's Obituary
Richard L. “Whitey” Palacko, 73, of Willington, CT, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1944 in Pinehurst, NC. A carpenter by trade, Rich was a member of Carpenter’s Local #43. He was also a parishioner of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Rich was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved to watch both the men and women UConn basketball teams. Rich is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jean (Utermarck) Palacko; daughters, Jennifer Palacko and Julie Elak and her husband Kevin; grandchildren, Miranda, Alex, and Justin; his mother, Amelia Gavine; brother, Tom Gavine; sister Linda Niderno and her husband David; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Gregorio and Carol Mottes and her husband Richard; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his step father, William Gavine. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
