Richard Sage's Obituary
Richard P. Sage, of Stafford Springs, CT, born in Maine on November 2, 1930, beloved husband of 56 years to his wife Florence, passed away on October 2, 2008 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Glen and his wife Carol of Tolland; his daughter, Kim and her husband David Malinoski of Virginia; two grandsons, Jonathan and Nathan; a brother, Nolan and his wife Madeline of Maine; and several nieces and nephews. Richard retired from the Teamsters Local #404 of Springfield, MA. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during the Korean Conflict having received the Purple Heart. He was a world traveler, an avid fisherman, and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. Funeral services with Military Honors and burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately. There are no calling hours.
