My name is Shirley Kosiorek Rossano and I am a biological cousin of Richard's. I am in shock to hear of his passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I had the pleasure of making contact with him several years ago and we had a delightful conversation. Richard was an adorable child and I enjoyed babysitting him. He even won a photograph contest at a Hartford CT department store when he was very young. I have tried to make contact several times but did not succeed. I am so sorry I finally did find him under these circumstances. May he rest in PEACE.

I have such happy memories of Dick. The way he and his dad “argued” with each other...both of them with huge smiles on their faces before the laughter broke out. The love he had for his family was so powerful that it was actually visible. The look on his face whenever he looked at Helene, or whenever someone mentioned her name. Our world is not quite as bright without him, but it will never be dark because he made it a happier place.

I haven't heard this name in years and am so sorry to hear it now under these circumstances. My condolences go out to his family. I worked many years ago with Dick at AM International (1982), my first job out of college. He was a wonderful person and we shared a lot of laughs together. I remember trying to type his proposals from handwritten draft where he would add notes in by taping pieces together - it was more like reading a scroll. I'm so happy I had the chance to know him.

A good man and a special friend passed away. His time came too soon and too quickly. We had a great relationship; sometimes we would work together which never seemed like work because we talked and laughed all day. We could talk about anything. We would agree to disagree, and we never let our differing opinions affect our friendship. We would go out for breakfast or coffee with never a dull moment as we solved the world's problems. He was my sister's husband and the best thing that ever happened to her. He made her very happy and she him. He made their home beautiful and would do anything for people who appreciated his efforts. He was not only successful but also a loving, caring, and thoughtful man. Dick Vaulding was my friend. He always said that he thought of us as brothers. To me, that was an honor. I will think of him everyday and pray that God has found a wonderful place for him in heaven with his daughter and his dad. Until we meet again, brother.
