Richard Willis' Obituary
Richard H. Willis, 62, of Cooper Lane, Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 27, 2009. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Henry and Eleanor (Peirolo) Willis. Richie was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era, and had retired from Connecticut Light and Power as manager of central maintenance services. He was a member, past president and currently treasurer of the Italian Benefit Society, and member of the Harley Owners Group. He greatly enjoyed his Harley, golfing, cooking, traveling, and especially his family. Richie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Diane A. Willis of Stafford Springs, CT; two daughters, Christine Anne Herzberg and her husband Kurt of Lebanon, CT, and Carli Lynn Pace and her husband Matthew of Enfield, CT; two grandchildren, Holly and Henry; two sisters, Carol Delorge and Tony Costa, and Connie Irving, all of Stafford Springs, CT; sister-in-law and four brothers-in-law and their spouses, Janet Smith, and Robert, Thomas, Roland, and Richard Dessert; a special niece, Stephanie Irving; several other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many special friends. His funeral will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Friday from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Richard H.
