Robert C. Bishop's Obituary
Robert C. “Bob” Bishop, 75, of Vernon, CT, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. Bob was born on February 18, 1946 in Littleton, NH, son of the late Clayton and Laura (Keeler) Bishop. He moved to Vernon in his teenage years and worked for Rogers Corp. in Manchester for many years until retirement. Bob loved country music and country dances. He also loved spending time with his family and pets, and formerly riding his motorcycle. Bob leaves a daughter, Terry Crabb Bishop of Vernon; a son, Robert “Rob” Bishop of Wethersfield; his granddaughter, Chantal Bousquet; two great granddaughters, Julianna and Victoria; his fiancé, Barbara McDermott of Vernon and her family; his sisters, Paula Kaseta and her husband Bruce of Oxford, MA, and Katherine Blais and her husband Richard of Blackstone, MA; his brother, Roger Bishop and his wife Camy of Littleton, NH; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Linda Bishop and he maintained a loving relationship with her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Vernon, CT. Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Foundation, 95 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105.
