Robert R. Bourque's Obituary
Robert R. Bourque, 69, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He was born in Springfield, MA, son of the late Robert F. and Dorothy (Buxton) Bourque. Bob was the longtime owner/operator of Outdoor Equipment in Stafford. He was an avid fan of UConn Basketball and was active with his sons in Boy Scout Troop 81. Bob was a member of the Stafford Lions Club and a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. Bob is survived by his wife, Lesley Bourque; two sons, Wayne and Raymond Bourque, and daughter Jennifer Bourque and her fiancé Austin Erickson; three siblings, Claire Niederwerfer and her husband Frank, Stephen Bourque and his wife Kathy, and Peter Bourque and his wife Donna; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Bourque. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1-3 P.M., with a funeral service to take place at 3 P.M., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Please wear a mask when inside the funeral home regardless of vaccination status. Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately.
