Robert Bourque's Obituary
Robert F. Bourque, 83, of West Stafford Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Springfield, MA, son of the late Frederick J. and Louise B. (Maynard) Bourque. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving on the U.S. Belleau Wood in the Pacific Theater. He retired as an electrician from Springfield Wire. He was a member of St. Edward Parish and the U.S. Navy Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dorothy (Buxton) Bourque of Stafford Springs, CT; four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert R. and Lesley Bourque of Stafford Springs, CT, Daniel J. Bourque of Unionville, CT, Stephen M. and Mary Bourque of Enfield, CT, and Peter F. and Donna Bourque of Stafford Springs, CT; a daughter and son-in-law, Claire L. and Frank Niederwerfer of South Windsor, CT; ten grandchildren, Wayne, Raymond, Jennifer, Michael, Melissa, Matthew, Danielle, and Peter Bourque, Kelly Eddinger and her husband Zach, and Kimberly Niederwerfer; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Richard Bourque; and a sister, Rita Dolvin. A funeral will be held on Monday, February 26, 2007, with a procession forming at 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 4-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
