Robert F. Cartier's Obituary
Robert F. Cartier, 74, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved husband and father, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Bob was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Lucien and Robea (Boucher) Cartier. Bob proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, and worked as an aircraft mechanic in the aerospace industry for many years. His hobbies and enjoyments included flying, fishing, biking, traveling, going on cruises, NASCAR, and UConn Women’s Basketball. Bob is survived by his best friend and wife of 53 years, whom he met while serving in the Air Force in Frankfurt, Germany, Christa (Borchardt) Cartier; two children, Dennis Cartier and his wife Kristin, and Dawn Cartier; granddaughter, Katrina Converse; five siblings, Alice Ricard and her husband Lionel, Dorothy Armelin, Evelyn Stehlik, Donald Cartier and his wife Jewlene, and Victor Cartier and his wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Helen Cartier; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Leo Roger Cartier and Roy “Butch” Cartier; and sister, Geraldine Lanagan. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
