Robert Marconi's Obituary
Robert P. Marconi, 74, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Peter and Alba (Lorenzet) Marconi. Bobby was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict, and had retired as a salesman having worked for many years at Backus Motors. He was a member of the Italian Benefit Society. Bobby is survived by his wife of 14 years, Barbara (Fairmont) Marconi of Stafford Springs, CT; three children, Peter Marconi and his wife Cheryl of Dover, MA, Deborah Marconi and her husband Frank Rodriguez of South Windsor, CT, and Paul Marconi of Bourne, MA; three grandchildren, Alex, Charlie, and Gabriella; and an uncle, Bruno Lorenzet of Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 4-6 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
