Robert McGuinness' Obituary
Robert J. McGuinness, 67, of Leonard Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Ellen G. (Livingston) McGuinness, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at his home. He was born in Springfield, MA, son of the late James and Helen (Rogers) McGuinness. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran, and retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft as a machinist. He was a member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, the Italian Benefit Society, and the Polish-American Club of Vernon. He was loved by his family and friends, and will be sadly missed by all. Bob is survived by his six children, Stacey McGuinness of Enfield, CT, Ellen Clark and her husband Staff Sergeant Christopher Clark of Stafford Springs, CT, Dawn Salcedo of Greenfield, MA, Shawn Salcedo of Stafford Springs, CT, Kathy Marine of Enfield, CT, and Raymond Flynn of Rutland, VT; seven grandchildren; a great granddaughter; brother, Matthew McGuinness; sister, Claire Sterling, both of West Springfield, MA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dog, Molly. He was predeceased by a brother, John; and a sister, Ruth. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 7 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately at the family's convenience. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
