Robert Swatik's Obituary
Robert E. Swatik, 59, of Ellington, CT, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at his home. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Joseph P. and Helen (Malinosky) Swatik. Bob worked as a diesel mechanic for Builders Concrete in Manchester. He enjoyed mountain biking, restoring his vintage truck, and was an avid motocross racer, having won many trophies. Bob is survived by his eight siblings, Julia Cromwell of Tennessee, Josephine Bell and her husband Raydon of Bristol, CT, Anna Robillard and her husband Gerard of Manchester, CT, Andrew Swatik and his wife Jean of West Willington, CT, Irene Lackman and her husband Edward of West Willington, CT, Mary Pelles and her husband Joseph of Tolland, CT, Joseph Swatik and his companion Pat Amidon of West Willington, CT, and Michael Swatik of Ellington, CT; a special uncle and aunt, Stephen and Connie Swatik of Stafford Springs, CT; his god mother, Margaret Britner of Waterford, CT; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 9-10 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
