Roderick Blair's Obituary
Roderick J. Blair, 91, of Murrels Inlet, SC and formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Doris C. (Bourque) Blair, died March 2, 2013 at Tidelands Hospice House in Georgetown, SC. He was born in Plainfield, CT, son of the late Oscar and Dora (Carnegie) Blair. Roderick served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and retired as a welder from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. He is survived by his children, Rev. Guy A. Blair of Chamberlain, SD, Marc Blair and Ruth of Cleveland Heights, OH, Denise Krusinski and Ben of Enfield, CT, Felice Godfrey and Dan of Woodbury, CT, Celeste Blair and Peggy of Rochester, NY, and Camille Blair of Portage, MI; and grandchildren, Abigail Davis, Christina Havens and John, Jacob Light, and Sarah Lam. Roderick's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Guy A. Blair and held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville, CT.
