Roger L. Bouthillier's Obituary
Roger L. Bouthillier, 85, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Enfield, CT, son of the late George F. and Doris (Stack) Bouthillier. Roger worked his whole career for A & P Supermarkets before retirement. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Edward Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister and usher. Roger volunteered for Meals on Wheels, the American Cancer Society, and drove many people to appointments. He also received an award for “Outstanding Volunteer” for the Town of Stafford. He was a loving gentleman who greatly cared for his family. He will be deeply missed. Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Jeanne (Twyman) Bouthillier; children, Donna Bouthillier and her husband Joaquin Torres, Diane Garabedian and her husband Richard, Patrice Talamini and her husband Alan, and David Henri and his wife Barbara; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, George Bouthillier and his wife Marge; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Marc Henri; brothers, John and James Bouthillier; and sister, Judith Gagne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. The family would like to thank Visiting Nurse and Health Services of Connecticut and Hospice for all their care and support.
