Roger C. Bowen's Obituary
Roger C. Bowen, 87, of Willington, CT, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born in New York, NY, son of the late Roger C., Sr. and Beatrice (Ford) Bowen. Roger was a graduate of Manhattan College in 1961, served our country in the United States Army, and worked in sales until his retirement. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Church in Ashford. Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary (Clifford) Bowen; daughters: Jeanmarie Hoye (David), and Carolyn Triba (James); and grandchildren: Liam Hoye (Heather), Siobhan Hoye (Samuel DiMascio), Ciara Hoye (Peter Sacks), Fiona Hoye, Aine Hoye, Beau Triba, Rory Triba, and Esther Triba, and great grandchildren Roan Hoye and Faye Hoye. He was predeceased by his children, Joseph, James, Ann, and Ellen. Roger was known for his love of the exuberant family reunions he and Mary hosted as well as his unique rendition of White Christmas and the “old soft shoe”. Calling hours are on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Rd., Ashford, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT. Memorial donations may be made to: Willington Fire Department No.1, 426 River Rd., P.O.
