Roger N. Butler Sr.'s Obituary
Roger N. Butler, Sr., 82, of Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Shirley (Yaeger) Butler, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014. He was born in Burlington, VT, son of the late Henry and Dorothy (Parrow) Butler. He was a graduate of the Mystic Oral School for the Deaf where he studied woodworking. Roger retired as a blade fabricator from Kaman Aerospace. He was a member of the CT Deaf Senior Citzens, and enjoyed traveling, especially with the Newington Senior Center for the Deaf. Roger was an expert woodworker, cabinet and furniture maker by trade. He enjoyed carving figurines and working on his wood lathe. Roger is survived by his three children, Roger N. Butler, Jr. and his wife Lynn, Doreen A. Dietz and her husband Kevin, and Kathy Utter and her husband Barron; six grandchildren, Tara and Brian Butler, Tyler and Garrett Dietz, and Kelly and Tori Utter; sister, Joyce DaDalt; sister-in-law Georgia Butler; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Bernard and Robert Butler, Sr. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 9-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
