Roger P. Long Sr.'s Obituary
Roger P. Long, Sr., 82, of Stafford Springs, CT, died January 9, 2016. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Ann (Mancinelli); brother, Gilmin; sisters, Theresa, Claire, and Jean; parents, John and Georgiana Long; and long-time companion, Rose Arbour. Although born in Canada, he spent the majority of his life in Hartford and New Britain, CT. He was an active member of the Stafford Senior Center, where he had many special friends. He was employed for many years as a machinist and later worked in retail. He is survived by two children, Roger P. Long, Jr. and his wife Tammy, and Regina Tindall and her husband Alphonso; sister, Noella and her husband Lester; several grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services with burial in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT, will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roger’s name to the Stafford Senior Center, 3 Buckley Highway, Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
