Ronald H. Baer,'s Obituary
Ronald "Ronnie" Henry Baer, Jr., 47, of Stafford Springs, CT, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, April 9, 2011. Born in Hartford, CT, Ronnie was the beloved son of Ronald and Celeste Baer of Enfield, CT. He grew up in Enfield, CT, graduated from Enfield High School in 1981, and had lived in Stafford, CT for the past 23 years. He was a loving and supportive father and friend to his two adored sons, Ryan of Union, CT and Nicholas of Pensacola, FL. He was a devoted son to his parents, a loyal and much loved brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed by the many whose lives he touched. Ronnie was a master craftsman and a "jack of all trades", who could build or fix anything, and he lent his skills to improving and beautifying the homes of many. He loved spending time with his sons, liked his music loud, and spent many a sunny day at the beach or in the pool. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His two dogs, Tye and Sally, provided him with unconditional companionship. In addition to his parents and his sons, Ron is survived by his four sisters and their families, Elizabeth Tarnell and her sons, Samuel, Edward and Matthew; Cynthia and her husband David Best; Jacqueline and her husband Paul Hughes and their children Sarah and Paul, Jr.; and Andrea and her husband David Adams; and one brother, Michael Baer and his wife JoAnn and their children Michael, Jr. and Julia, and by four aunts and several cousins. He also leaves his friend and former wife, Jacqueline Baer, and his life-long best friend, Eric Jorgensen. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 4-7 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 7 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ron's memory to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
