Ronald Slater's Obituary
Ronald G. Slater, 60, of Enfield, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 12, 2007. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Richard W. and Amy (Partelo) Slater. Ronnie was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, and retired as a tractor-trailer driver from Nelson, Schuster, and Finast Freightways. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Soderburg) Slater of Enfield, CT; a daughter Jacqueline Stroum and her husband David of Whitinsville, MA; a son, Scott P. Slater of Enfield, CT; two sisters-in-law, Helen Slater and Jane Slater of Stafford Springs, CT; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Greg and Diana Soderburg of Torrington, CT; five nephews, Kenneth, Mark, Kevin, Michael, and Eric; four nieces, Michelle, Jennifer, Cortney, and Mandy; and several cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Bill and Ken Slater. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 1 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be private. Calling hours are on Friday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
