Rose Alves' Obituary
Rose B. (Kania) Alves, 80, of Stafford Springs, CT, wife of the late Charles Alves, Jr., passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010. She was born in Willington, CT, daughter of the late Francis and Anna (Polinski) Kania. Rose lived most of her life in Willington and Stafford Springs. She was educated in the Willington Schools and had worked at Stanadyne in Windsor for 35 years. After retirement, she worked part time at Allied Resources in Enfield. Rose is survived by her beloved sister, Barbara Pippin of Stafford Springs; a very dear nephew and his wife, Joseph and Sandra Comarella of Stafford Springs and their children Tony and Rachel; a very dear niece and her husband, Patricia and Mark Spare of Vernon and their children Chrissy, Jennie, and Billy; a dear niece and her husband, Paula and Josh Miller of Beverly, MA and their children Eliana and Zachary; a dear nephew and his wife, Frank and Sarah Kania of Stafford Springs and their children Erin, Emily, and Catherine; a dear niece Renee Boggis of Willington; and a sister-in-law, Helen Kania of Vernon. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and William Kania; and two sisters, Helen Comarella and Josephine Bacchiochi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
