Many people have mentioned poker and 31 in the same sentence when thinking of you. I have the same memories. You, with your middle pointer finger, saying "I will raise you a dime" Haha everyone would say "ROSE"... You would just laugh and smile!!! I once told you "that I got my strength from you" and that is the TRUTH!!! The strength you showed during these months have been inspiring to many, your willingness to fight and your love for your family showed through every time we were together. I cherish the moments we have shared and will never forget them. Rest in peace, I know you will be opening the door to "the bus" when we all get there. Till we meet again, I love you Meem's.
As I am sitting here thinking about my two dear friends, Bob and Carla, I am also praying that God gives you peace and comfort during this time. Just to know that she is in heaven and not suffering anymore. She is probably singing and dancing on the streets of gold and would want you to know that one day you will see her again. One day I will meet this amazing woman that I have heard so much about, how she was the glue that kept everyone together and how she had a heart of gold. (I might even get a peice of that blueberry pie that everyone is talking about)

Dear Aunt Rosie,
Thank you for being a great aunt. I can remember the times we would all get together for those ham operator meetings. What a time we had with all the kids. You would always be there for everyone; and having a great time with all of us.
Time passes way to fast and though I haven't seen you and all of my cousins for a long time I always remember you all with love.

As Ross cried at your service today it broke my heart because he should have known you much better than he did. I know that is a regret I will always hold. I love you Me me. I knew exactly what Heath was talking about when he dropped you off after breakfast and you would cry. I know what those tears meant. I know how much you loved every one of us and how thakful ypu were for those special breakfasts that you were blessed to have. You knew your time on earth was short but I did not. A better bmoraeter would be to take the average of the school systems ACT and SAT scores and compare that against average teacher salaries in that district against the local average salary then apply whether or not they are subject to collective bargaining. That way you can compare whether or not professionalism counts, and whether a community values education and the true cost of education. Additionally, then apply the school districts success rate with the property values in that community against other communities who's school do not perform as well or even those who perform better.I live in a classic example of that, and we did weigh the school district and its historic performance against the other.Chicago metro area districts before buying. District 211 did not disappoint. Both the boys scored 30+ on ACT and home value rose over 75% (net) including the drastic drop in area home values in surrounding areas. Our district has only masters in education or better at the Middle School and HS level. Our teachers are some of the best paid in Chicago metro area (I think 5th highest) and our home was reasonably protected in value, our kids are now in college, and I feel fine about the overall quality of life in a community of shared values.Check the value against measurables when considering what you get with your property tax dollars.I pay $2,000 a year in Walsh County taxes and haven't been there since I was 15. I have no problem with that, as they try hold the line up there and keep the schools in Park River semi vibrant in addition to trying to keep their infrastructure intact.I pay over $7,000 a year to Cook County and the local tax dudes here in the burbs.I owe my the salary and benefits I receive in the construction industry, to a great degree, to the collective bargaining results in the construction unions who represent the rank and file on the projects I oversee.
