Rose L. Surdell's Obituary
Rose L. Surdell, 92, of Rockville, CT, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Monday, October 11, 2021. She was born in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late Francis and Leona (Dessert) LaChance. Rose worked as a waitress for many years at local restaurants. She enjoyed playing BINGO, bowling, and going to the casino, and will be remembered for her chocolate chip cookies, fudge, and brownies. A loving mother and grandmother, Rose is survived by her four children, Robert Surdell, Jr., Carol Martorelli and her husband Jon, Cindy Dixon and her husband Richard, and Carrie Hastings and her husband Tom; 11 grandchildren, R.J., Rachelle, J.J., R.J., Elisha, Brianne, Gabrielle, Madison, Amy, Adam, and Alexander; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers and two sisters. Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
