Rudolph "Rudy" Mahdalik Jr.'s Obituary
Rudolph “Rudy” Mahdalik, Jr., 79, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in New York City, son of the late Rudolph, Sr. and Anna (Bratka) Mahdalik. Rudy moved to Connecticut at a young age and was educated in the Willington Schools and was a graduate of Windham Technical Institute. He served two years in the U.S. Army 86th Engineers Divisionary SPC 4 Battalion. Rudy worked in construction his entire life spending 20 years with Lookabaugh Construction, 30 years with Orlando Annulli & Sons, and a lifelong employee of Stafford Motor Speedway. He was a former member of the fire department in Willington and Staffordville, member of the Stafford Historical Society, and Stafford Senior Center. Rudy enjoyed outdoor activities, hunting, fishing, and boating in Long Island Sound with his wife and daughter. He always looked out for bluebirds in the backyard feeders, and loved spotting deer. He enjoyed watching UConn Basketball games and NASCAR events. He had a great sense of humor, joked with everyone, and was always a very caring guy. Rudy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Cynthia (Warren) Mahdalik; daughter, Alana Jean Mahdalik; and two brothers-in-law, Arthur S. Warren and his wife Linda, and Bruce C. Warren. His funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home.
