Russell Gottier's Obituary
Russell R. Gottier, 58, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at his home. He was born in Rockville, CT, son of Elizabeth (Richter) Gottier and the late Jacob Gottier. Russ grew up in Ellington, CT and graduated from Ellington High School in 1969. He then enlisted as a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Russ was the owner/operator of Stafford Auto Recyclers for 23 plus years. He also was a member of the Connecticut Auto Dismantlers Association. Russ is survived by his two sons, Jacob and Jared Gottier of Stafford Springs, CT; his mother, Elizabeth (Richter) Gottier of Ellington, CT; a brother, Clifford Gottier and his wife Bonnie of Somers, CT; four sisters, Judith Delaney and her husband William of Ellington, CT, Sandra Gottier of St. Cloud, FL, Susan Parker and her husband Perlin of Somers, CT, and Marjorie Gottier of Ellington, CT; an aunt, Ida Welti of Ellington, CT; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and a great nephew. His funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
