Ruth French's Obituary
Ruth E. French, 84, of Eastford, CT, wife of the late Milton "Ken" French, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Day Kimball Hospital. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Earl and Ruth (Gildemeister) Witt. Ruth had worked as a school teacher for the towns of Ashford, Woodstock, and Chaplin. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church, and enjoyed vacationing in Vermont and her cats. Ruth is survived by her five children, Earl French and his wife Karen, George French and his wife Christine, Dwight French and his wife Lisa, Harmon French and his wife Melinda, and Nancy LaFleur and her former husband William; eight grandchildren; a great grandson; brother, Allan Witt and his wife Patricia; sister, Lucille Goodhall; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Church Service at 11 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 8 Church St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Eastford Baptist Cemetery, Eastford, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home.
