Ruth C. Lind's Obituary
Ruth C. Lind, 77, of Stafford Springs, CT passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Bror Arthur and Ida (Peterson) Lind. She spent her career working for Con Edison Electric in New York and Standard Register in Tolland, CT. Ruth loved all sports, but especially auto racing, the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. She was also on a bowling team earlier in her life. Ruth is survived by her nieces, Janet Nilsen, Carol Nilsen, Donna Campagna and her husband Marco, Linda Nilsen, Suzanne Rizzo and her husband Jesse, and Dee LaBadie and her husband Steve; nephew, Richard Farney and his partner Viola; six great nieces; five great nephews; two great-great nephews; and her cat and best friend, Jake. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters and their husbands, Joanne Nilsen and her husband Leif, and Dorothy Farney and her husband Eugene, Sr.; nieces, Christine Nick and Karen Farney; and nephew, Eugene Farney, Jr. Funeral services and burial will be private.
